NEW DELHI: Often wish that there was a way by which you could call back a mail sent? Your wish is finally granted.
Google has added Undo Send, a Gmail Labs experiment that prevents the transmission of an email message for five seconds, to allow email authors time to change their minds.

All that a user needs to do is turn on Undo Send in Gmail Labs under Settings, and he will see a new ‘Undo’ link on every sent mail confirmation. Says Google user experience designer Michael Leggett in a blog post. “Click ‘Undo,’ and we’ll grab the message before it’s sent and take you right back to compose.”

Leggett, however, warns that Undo Send won’t recall a message that has already been sent, it simply holds messages for five seconds to allow time for second thoughts.

In October, Google rolled out a similar feature called “Goggles” that helps you not send messages when you are inebriated state. It does so by making you solve math problems before your message can be sent.

Recently, Google launched another Gmail Labs addition this week: the ability to preview YouTube videos, Picasa and Flickr links and Yelp reviews from within Gmail.
